Fuelled with old enmity a 20-year-old girl was attacked by two miscreants with sharp-edged weapons and wooden sticks at Barkheda Pathani under Govindpura police station police station area on Sunday.
Police said that a girl was rushed to hospital after she was attacked by two armed miscreants in fight over road near her house.
The injured was identified as Bharti Yadav who was attacked by her neighbours Kapil and Aman Panda with sharp edged weapons and hit her in her head with stone.The injured girl who was bleeding profusely was rushed to hospital where her condition is reportedly critical.
In his complaint, the victim told the police that she was at her house when the two had a verbal spat with her father and when he opposed the two scuffled and later in the evening attacked with sharp edged weapons and in a bid to save her father she sustained injuries. The accused in the attack also stone pelted and threatened them of life and escaped the spot.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 324 of the IPC. Police found that the dispute was due to common road between the two houses of the families. On Sunday when the two tried to move over the road the family of the girl objected which lead to the dispute.
The victim is undergoing treatment at private hospital and is under observation. Search has been intensified for the absconding accused who are still at large.
