In the Central Jail Bhairavgarh, 20 inmates of the jail are making 200 kits per day and making them available to the medical staff engaged in the service of the victims of corona fighting at RD Gardi Medical College.
In preparing PPE kits for Corona warriors engaged in serving people infected from corona they are not taking any kind of wages.The prisoners in the Central Jail Bhairavgarh are engaged in social service through their skills. Personal Protection Equipment Kit is made for doctors and health workers engaged in service of individuals.
PPE kits are prepared and provided free of charge, they are not taking their wages. They say that this work should be free to serve the society.
It is noteworthy that a person can use PPE kit for up to six hours. This kit after have to dispose. Jail Superintendent Alka Sonkar informed that Corona at RD Gardi Medical College Infected patients are being treated.
Treatment of infected patients by Physicians and health workers require their safety and for the safety of the people, necessary PPE kits are being prepared and made available by the prisoners.
Earlier when there was need of PPE came to the notice of the hospital administration that the inmates of Bhairavgarh Jail are skilled in stitching work.
The hospital administration held discussions with the Bhairavgarh jail administration. Later when the prisoners were informed about this effect, the prisoners gladly accepted it and started to work in the interest of society.
