Two men were robbed at knife point of their mobile phones at Pul Bogda under Jehangirabad late in the night on Friday.
According to the police, the victim Abdul Hafeez was robbed by two miscreants, when the victim had gone to drop his friend Shahid at Pul Bogda.
The victim lodged a complaint with the Jehangirabad police and claimed that they returned from work and when they were at Pul Bogda two miscreants appeared and took knife and at knife point robbed them. The two miscreants escaped from the spot walking.
Victim works as electrician and after work he went to drop Shahid where the two were robbed. Based on the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the search for the miscreants has been started but due to lack of proper light the victim was not able to notice the two miscreants.
During the investigation police found that the area where the incident took place usually remains deserted due to which the miscreants targeted the victim to rob in that area. The nearby CCTV cameras installed in the area would be investigated.
