District police have arrested two cyber-criminals from Bharatpur Rajasthan who made sextortion calls to Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur; the two were brought to Bhopal by the district police on Tuesday.
Police said that the accused are from Bharatpur in Rajasthan who confessed that they used to send WhatsApp messages to unknown numbers for blackmailing.
The nexus would offer to talk as a girl and after getting response would make a video call after getting a response from the person, they would do video calls on WhatsApp. As soon as the call was received, they would play recorded porn clip on another mobile and then put the screen of that mobile near the front camera of our mobile, which would make the person in front starts watching porn videos and would record the whole thing.
The video call was the edited and would extort money from the victim without even interacting and looking who the victim is, due to which the they failed to spot that the victim was Pragya Thakur.
The two accused are identified as Raveen Khan(23) and Waris Khan(21) of Bharatpur Rajasthan.
Accused are involved in farming and have studied till class 10.Despite of their limited education background they devised very cunning way to earn from cyber crime.
The number of victims are yet to be revealed as police are interrogating that apart from the Bhopal MP who are other victims in the state and other parts of the country.
