Two miscreants have been booked for killing a 26-year-old man who died following a fight after consuming liquor at 5 No bus stop under Habibganj police station area on June 1. A case of murder was registered on Tuesday after receiving the post mortem report.
According to the police, the deceased Sanjay alias Sandeep Thakur died on June 2 during treatment at a hospital after he was thrashed by two miscreants during having liquor at 5 no. stop.
The two accused were identified as Akash and Sunil of the same area.
On June 1 night, the deceased was consuming liquor with the two accused Akash and Sunil and while they were drinking they engaged into a brawl and attacked the deceased. He was brutally beaten by the two and later they pushed him in nullah and escaped the spot. The deceased rescued from the nullah and returned home and went to sleep but in the morning on May 2 he reported illness and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
During the investigation, it was found that the deceased had a fight but after the post mortem report was received it was confirmed that the death of the deceased occurred to the injuries sustained in the fight with the two accused while they were drinking liquor.
After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post-mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC on Tuesday and have started further investigation and have started search for the accused.
