Cyber crime police have nabbed two persons from Indore on the charge of their involvement in operating deactivated Facebook profile of a married woman.
The victim in her complaint stated that she had deactivated her facebook profile but she recently found that the same fakebook profile was active and was used for sending friend requests and chatting and mobile numbers of friends obtained through chatting were used to send unnecessary messages. When the victim came to know about the act she lodged a complaint with the cyber crime.
Based on the complaint during the investigation police found that the facebook profile was operated from Indore and Kapish Sharma (21) was operating it from Mhow.
The accused was nabbed and later he confessed that before her marriage victim used to work with him at a call center in Indore and she had made the facebook profile in his presence due to which he was aware of the details and using the details he activated the facebook profile.
Kapish activated the facebook profile with the help of Shivendra alias Shivi Gaur (27) who is victim’s neighbour and based on the information Shivendra was nabbed. Shivendra is Computer Engineer.
During the investigation police have taken help from facebook legal support which helped in tracking the accused.
The victim came to know about the activated facebook profile through her friends who informed that unnecessary messages they were getting through the account.
Police said that the accused are first time offender and they have not found any past criminal record of the two accused.
