Habibganj police have nabbed two persons who duped Anganwadi workers in the name of transfer and promotion by posing as Special Assistant Minister and former Joint Director Women and Child Development department; cash and electronic gadgets used in the fraud were recovered from their possession.
Mahendra Kumar Tiwari (31) of Rewa and Ankit Mishra (21) of Allahbad UP were nabbed after a complaint was made by Special Assistant Minister and former Joint Director Women and Child Development Mahendra Singh Dwivedi.
Police said that the complainant in his complaint stated that accused are duping Anganwadi workers in the name of transfer and promotion and collecting lakhs of rupees in Anuppur district and other parts of the state.
A complaint was filed regarding the fraud and after completion of the investigation the police have registered a case under section 419 and 420 of the IPC.During the investigation of the case, a police team constituted and with special technical support arrested Mahendra Kumar Tiwari village Baghedi Chakghat district Rewa and when he was quizzed in regards to the SIM used in the incident and he revealed that the SIM was provided by Ankit Mishra and fraudulent money was deposited in Ankit Mishra's account. Ankit Mishra was caught from Nari Bari Chowk District Allahabad Uttar Pradesh due to his involvement in the crime.
