Cyber crime police have nabbed a habitual criminal and his aide from Chandrapur Maharashtra for creating fake website of Forest Department http://mpforestgov.info/mpforest.gov.in/index.html and posting advertisement of 500 vacancies, one of the accused is still absconding.
A complaint was lodged by MP Forest Department in March 31, 2021 regarding fake website and posting of jobs which was never done by department. Based on the information police team started investigation and narrowed Chandrapur region from where the website was operated.
Later, in the investigation Raju Laxman Kekant was arrested who was found operating the website. He was helped by Amardeep Ramdas Dongre by providing Airtel and Jio SIM at Rs 10000 who was also arrested in the investigation.
One of the accused Vineet Nagrale remained absconding. The real website is https://mpforest.gov.in while using content of the website fke website http://mpforestgov.info/mpforest.gov.in/index.html was created.
The main accused has been booked for over 15 crimes by Chandrapur police while Vineet along with Amardeep were booked for duping people in the name of providing jobs.
Police registered case under sections 420 of the IPC and 66 C and 66 D of the IT Act. The number of victims and money duped by the accused would be investigated in the further investigation.
