A 26-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with ceiling at Pragati Nagar under Ashoka Garden police area on Sunday.
Ramakant Sen was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
Police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police said the reason of the death remained unclear. Before Ramakant was found dead he went missing and later he was found hanging.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Noor Mahal under Shahjehanabad police station area Sunday; deceased was depressed for past few days.
According to police, deceased Tanveer Khan was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Police have not found any suicide note or any reason behind the suicide and have claimed that the reason behind the suicide would be investigated.
The reason of the suicide was not clear claimed the police. In the initial investigation police found that the deceased used to have dispute with her family members but reason remained unclear.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
