Prompt action by TT Nagar police helped in nabbing two bike borne miscreants involved in robbery of mobile phone late in the night near PHE office on Tuesday.
Police have recovered robbed mobile phone, purse and motorbike used in the crime.
The nabbed accused identified as Muktesh and Monu Thakur have confessed a robbery from TT Nagar area and stealing a purse from Jehangirabad on the same day.
The victim Mohan Thakur in his complaint stated that he was on his way to home at Bheem Nagar when two bike borne miscreants robbed him at knife point and escaped with his mobile phone.
The victim noticed the registration number of the bike as MP04-NX8363 and informed patrolling police party which alerted all patrolling parties and police stations and based on the details accused were traced within an hour.
During the investigation, it was found that the accused are residents of TT Nagar area have been booked for burglary and have been booked by TT Nagar police.
The accused were traced based on the registration number of the motorbike. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 of
the IPC. Police claimed that more crimes would be revealed by the accused in the further investigation and more recoveries would be made.
The police have also recovered a purse stolen from Jehangirabad area. The bike which has been recovered would be investigated as it is possible that the bike has been used in other crimes.
