A 19-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her house in Sankhedi under Kolar police station area on Sunday.
Police said the deceased, Rahnanadani, committed suicide at her house. In the initial investigation, the family members were not able to provide reason behind the suicide.
On Monday, the deceased committed suicide when she was with her younger brother who was watching TV at the time of her suicide.
Later, the body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. The reason would be investigated, said police.
Meanwhile, Gautam Nagar police booked a man who used to harass his 39-year-old wife and who committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her house at Nariyalkheda on January 22; police found that the deceased was harassed by her husband and in-laws.
According to the police, the deceased, Preeti Malviya was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
During the investigation, police found that reason behind the suicide that she was harassed by her husband Amit and his mother Urmila and father Santosh demanding dowry.
Initially after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police.
The police registered a case under sections 304 B and 498 A of the IPC against the accused.
