Frustrated over prolonged illness, a 19-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Satnami Nagar, under Piplani police station area on Thursday.
The deceased was found hanging at around 2 pm by her father who returned home and rushed her to Aradhana hospital where she was declared dead. Police were informed and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation. Investigating Officer Anil Tiwari said that in the initial investigation the reason behind the suicide was not found.
Family members of the deceased have claimed that the deceased used to remain ill and was not to recover from the illness. Neighbours have claimed that the deceased was not in a mentally sound condition due to her suffering from long and other reason provided by the neighbours was the lack of proper treatment to the deceased due to their poor financial condition, he added.
Suicide note was not recovered which provides scope to investigate and verify that the deceased has committed suicide and reason would be investigated. Body was sent for the post-mortem after the preliminary investigations. The post mortem report is awaited which could help in revealing more details regarding the death of the deceased.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police have claimed that the deceased used to remain at home while her family members used to work as labours and were at work when she committed suicide on Thursday.
