A 19-year-old girl committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Camp no 12 under Bairagarh police station area on Sunday.
According to the police Pooja Verma was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.Police were informed and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started further investigation.
In the initial investigation police found that the deceased was found in an unconscious state in the morning on Saturday and was rushed to Hamidia hospital where her condition deteriorated further in the night and she died at around 8 am on Sunday.
During the investigation no suicide note was found and no reason behind the suicide was revealed.
Investigating Officer ASI Somnath Singh said that the deceased was among three siblings and used to remain at home. She left studies after class VIII. The deceased consumed poisonous substance and other possibilities could not be ruled and would be investigated.
Reason behind the suicide remained unknown as the statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide, he added.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The deceased’s father work as labour and at the time of the incident parents were at work.
Deceased do not had any fight or was depressed over some issue in the past few days with the family members or any neigbour.
