Sukhi Sewania police have booked a 19-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at Balampur village; complaint was lodged on Wednesday.
The accused Anil Yadav sexually assaulted the victim on May 18 this year and later sexually exploited her by threatening her. On Wednesday victim’s father after finding her behaviour changed followed her till school where he found Anil, who got enraged over chasing the girl and Anil, Ajab Singh and Shubham attacked him and sexually assaulted her brutally. later the victim reported the atrocity and a complaint was lodged with the police. Police said that a case of physical assault was registered against the three and have started further investigation.
During the investigation police found that the victim was sexually being exploited for the past three months. She was threatened by the victim who used to harass her and did the atrocity. The accused used to work with a road side hotel and was acquainted with the victim. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376(2) (N) of the IPC and section 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act and have started further investigation. Search for the absconding miscreants have been intensified. The owner and employees of the hotel were the accused used to work would be questioned.
The crime record of the three would be searched. Police have details of Anil but the details of the other two accused would be searched. Till the filing of the report no arrest has been made in the case.
