A 17-year old girl was sexually exploited for the past two years on the promise of marriage at Vallabh Nagar under Jehangirabad police station area; a case was registered on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Kuldeep Verma and assured her of marriage and continued to sexually exploit her.
Based on the complaint police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and sections of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) -2012. The victim came into contact with the accused when she used to stay in the area two years ago at Vallabh Nagar.
Victim claimed that the accused used to stay in the same area during which they developed relationship with the victim but after the marriage of the accused when the victim contacted the accused she was told that the he would marry her and started sexually exploiting her.
From the year 2018 he started to sexually exploit her and whenever she used to ask for marriage the accused use to resort to different excuses and frustrated over the excuses the victim lodged a complaint with the Jehangirabad police.
Police said that the accused used to work for a private firm and other details of the accused would be searched.
During the investigation police would search for the past crime record of the accused as police suspects that the accused had also cheated other girls luring them of marriage in the past.
