A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her 22-year-old neighbour for the past three months at Shahpur village under Gunga police station area. The police have registered a case of sexual assault on Wednesday.
According to the police, the accused Hridayesh Meena sexually assaulted the victim on March 1 when she was alone at her house and after which whenever the victim was alone she was raped by the accused.
A complaint was lodged with the police and in the complaint the victim claimed that the accused to sexually assault her by threatening her for the past three months.
The matter came to fore after the victim reported illness and was tested positive for pregnancy.
After it was confirmed that she was pregnant the family members asked her about it and thus, she told regarding the atrocities she had been facing.
Victim’s mother told the police that the accused used to visit the house frequently but she was not aware of the ill intentions of the accused and when t he victim reported the incident a complaint was lodged with the police.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and section 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and have started further investigation.
The search for the accused has been started and the details of the accused would be searched in the investigation.
Accused went absconding when he came to know that the victim reported illness and later lodged a complaint.
