A 17-year-old youth drowned at lower lake under Jehangirabad police station area in the evening on Sunday. According to the police the deceased Sohail Khan had gone to Khatlapura to take bath along with his friends and later drowned.
In the initial investigation police found that the victim went deep inside and later drowned. His friends tried to rescue him but they failed to rescue him. Police were informed and based on the information police team rushed to the spot and divers fished out the deceased’s body.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. The incident took place at around 5 pm when the deceased had gone to take bath with his friends and while taking bath he slipped and drowned. The deceased was a resident of Jehangirabad area and was class XI student of a private school.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Sewania village under Bagh Sewania police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased Bahadur Dangi was found hanging with the ceiling and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The reason of the suicide remained unknown. The deceased used to remain depressed for the past few days but the family members were not aware of the reason behind the depression. After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
