A 17-year-old girl was raped at knife point by a miscreant in Koh-e-Fiza area in the night on June 16 ; accused was arrested after victim lodged complaint on the same day of incident.
According to the Kohefiza police station, the 17-year-old girl hails from Katni district. Two years ago, her family used to live in Bhopal. Her parents used to work as labourers, but due to Corona, the whole family returned to Katni.
On June 10, the victim came to Bhopal with her younger brother and sister for further studies and started living with a rented house. She took admission in class XII this year after passing class XI. A young man named Brajesh Singh lives in the neighborhood of the teenager and work as a driver. Victim and his siblings used to talk to Brajesh as they lived nearby.
The girl used to keep the door of the house open as there was no fan in the room.
In the night on 16 June, Brajesh invited the younger brother of the teenager to his house to watch TV. After this, at around two in the night, he entered the girl's house.
As soon as he entered the room, he took out a knife locked the younger sister in another room and raped victim. The girl reached the police station in the night along with her brother and sister and lodged a complaint.
