Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh spokesman Vijendar Singh Sisodia has said that the election for the sixteenth lok Sabha were unprecedented in many ways.
Sisodia in a statement here on Thursday said, “In this election 51 crores voters of the total 81 crores exercised their franchise. This is matter of proud for every citizen of the country. Moreover the other encouraging part of this election is that the vote percentage of the BJP is expected to get almost double in comparison to 2009.”
Sisodia further said that though it would be matter of interest to watch on Friday as how much this increase of percentage would affect the seat tally of the BJP but one thing is clear that the hard work of party workers blended with special efforts of prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi played important role for this. “Modi’s efforts have brought the party into main fight in places where no one was available for raising even party flag. The Modi wave turned into storm by the time the election reached in its ninth and last leg,” he added.
He said that in this election the biggest issue was Modi becoming prime minister and emergence of BJP as the strong alternative. And the most interesting thing that the increasing popularity and acceptance of Modi made Congress so much disappointed and inactive that at the place of taking on BJP in the electoral battle it engaged in blocking Modi’s path, he added.
He said that Congress and other so called secular political parties might make big claims but it is sure that BJP has pushed back SP and BSP to second and third position.
