A 16-year old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Kazi Camp area under Hanumanganj police station area on Wednesday. The deceased Aqsa Khan was rushed to a nearby hospital after she was spotted hanging and was declared dead.
Police were informed and based on the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation. The deceased was class IX student of a private school and after her examinations during summer vacations she was staying at her maternal grandmother’s house in Qazi Camp.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police. The deceased was a resident of Sharda Nagar in Nariyalkheda.
Police have not recovered any suicide note which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide and claimed that the reason would be investigated. Statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which could help in the revealing the reason behind the suicide.
Meanwhile, an 11-year old boy drowned in a well while taking bath at Sikanderabad under Ratibad police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police, a boy fell inside a well while he along with his friends have gone to take bath and was fished out and taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The deceased was identified as Gaurav Ahirwar. His friends, who were at the time of the incident with the deceased, claimed that the deceased fell after he slipped. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
