A 16-year old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her Shyam Nagar residence under Habibganj police station area on Saturday. According to the police, Mahima Sara Simon was found hanging at her residence and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot. After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post mortem.
The victim was a Class X student. The police have not received any suicide note which could help reveal the reason behind the suicide. Family has expressed ignorance over the reason. Police said that the reason behind the suicide would be searched and have started further investigation. The post mortem report is awaited told the police.
Meanwhile, after failing to find job a 30-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling at Shiv Nagar under TT Nagar police station area late night on Friday.
According to the police, Naresh Gaikwad was found dead in his house and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Police told that the decease was unemployed for the past two months during which he used to fight a lot with his wife. The deceased is survived by his wife and two children.
Neighbours have told the police that the victim was drinking heavily for the past few months during his unemployment and would beat up his wife.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
