A case of 16-year-old youth being stoned to death in Lalaria village under Berasia police station area was reported in the evening on Sunday, the youth was killed by accused who stole goats.
Police said that the accused have also crushed his face with stones to hide his identity.
The police have registered a case of murder against unknown miscreants. Girish Tripathi, in-charge of Berasia police station, said that the police received the information about the incident at 6.30 pm on Sunday, after which police immediately reached the spot, the head of the dead body was crushed. The body was sent for postmortem and a case has been registered against the unknown accused.
According to the information, Zubair Khan(16) used to sell goats. Zubair left home at 10 in the morning on Sunday to graze the goats. He used to graze goats in the forests near the river near the house. At 7 in the evening, when he did not return, his father and family arrived near the river in search of him and found him in an unconscious state near the bushes near a stream. There were serious injuries on his head. There was a big stone near him. Police were informed and when he was taken to hospital he was declared dead.
The family members of the deceased told the police that Zubair had left the house with 16 goats. All the goats are missing from the forest. This suggests that the incident has been carried out to steal goats. Police suspect that the murder was carried out by more than one person.
