A 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a minor boy at Haripur village on Friday. According to police, the victim along with her family lodged a complaint with the police and alleged that a 15-year-old boy of her community has sexually assaulted her. In the complaint, she has claimed that when she went for cattle grazing at around 10.30 am, she was sexually assaulted by Kaluram (15) of her village. He was chasing her since morning and when he found her alone, he took her to a secluded place and sexually assaulted. SHO of Nazeerbad police station Pradeep Shukla told that in the morning the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused who escaped from the spot and is still missing. The medical of the victim was conducted and later a case against the accused was lodged.
The community getting talked about is a nomadic tribe and it is witnessed that in most of the cases, compromise between the victim and accused parties is done to shield the community from other authorities and would maintain their rule and regulations, he added.
The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and 3 and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act -2012.
