A 15-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself afire after pouring kerosene at Kailash Nagar under Ashoka Garden Police Station area on Thursday.
According to the police, the financial condition of the father of the victim Kaluram Yadav was not good enough to meet the ends, due to which his daughter Kirti Yadav used to live with his maternal uncle Jwala Singh at Chambal Colony.
On Thursday, at around 5 pm where victim’s aunt was not able to find the victim in the house she was shocked to find that the victim was lying in the bathroom with serious burns. The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital were she was declared dead.
No suicide note was found and thus, the reason of the suicide is still not clear. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have sent the body for the post mortem.
