A case of rape was registered by Govindpura police on Friday after a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her 15-year-old cousin at MPSEB Colony on November 6.
According to the police, a complaint was lodged with the Govindpura police regarding sexual assault with five-year-old girl by her cousin in Industrial area two weeks ago.
In the complaint, the victim’s father alleged that victim’s cousin has sexually assaulted her during her stay with his family. Earlier on November 6 the victim’s family before leaving the city visited their relative and left the victim at their house on their request.
They returned on November 7 and on their return the victim returned house with the family members and was taken to AIIMS on Friday after few days when she reported pain in her lower body parts.
Victim reported pain but the unaware parents did not took is seriously and on Friday when the victim shared the incident to the doctor the matter came into light. The victim narrated the whole incident to the doctor who informed the parents and Govindpura police.
Complaint with the police was lodged by the victim’s father after which the accused boy was arrested.
A case has been registered under section 376 of the IPC and section 7/8 of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
The victim faced the atrocity during her stay at on November 6. The parents of the accused were shocked on the heinous act by their son.
