The police detained 15 Adhyapak leaders at the railway station here and took them into custody. They were going to participate in the agitation in Bhopal. After the High Court orders, the police started conducting raids at their residences and other places. The teachers are agitating for the 6th pay commission benefits and against e-attendance. So their meeting with the administration became fruitless in the 4rth round.
When the teachers were preparing for further agitation the High Court declared the strike illegal. Thereafter 15 teachers including a woman were arrested at the railway station. Collector Sanjay Goyal issued show-cause notices to 1,657 teachers. The Collector said that the State Government has declared the strike illegal keeping the interests of the students in the mind.
