The second day of the counselling for admission in the Medical and Dental Colleges witnessed a steep rise in the online registration. Around 1,400 selected candidates registered online on Monday.
On the first day only 109 candidates registered online. The indications for the rise in the number of registration are fear and anxiety in the candidates which was witnessed to a lesser amount on Monday.
The investigations are on and the figure provided by the crime branch of 350 fake candidates is under investigation but no official has been declared regarding the number of fake candidates.
First day of the counselling was Sunday and in the morning the technical problems were reported regarding the server. The server was down for few hours which restricted the candidates to register online and was a big reason of fewer number of candidate registration.
Director of Medical Education SC Tiwari told that the number of enrollments under the counseling process was 1400 and the smooth functioning of the process was witnessed.
Dean of Gandhi Medical College Nirbhay Shrivastava said the scrutiny process has been started and the candidates attending the process arrived with the required documents. After the documents are verified they would be able to register for the choice locking.
Shrivastava said the investigation is under process but the process of counselling is a different one and in case if someone is found guilty the candidate will face punishment. At present the candidates coming for scrutiny are considered true and would be allowed to participate in the process and have to submit affidavit on the prescribed format provided by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board.
