A 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by two miscreants on the premises of Haripura Government School under Bilkharia police station area on January 10. One of the accused was nabbed after a complaint was lodged on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by two miscreants late in the night on January 10.
SDOP Rashmi Kharya said that the victim was sexually assaulted when she had gone to answer nature’s call. In the investigation one of the accused was nabbed while the search for the other accused is intensified.
The nabbed accused Jadgish Banjara works as labour while the details of the absconding accused is searched.
The accused used to follow the victim for the past few days and on January 10 at around 11 pm they took her to school and raped her. Shocked from the trauma victim kept mum and on Thursday she reported the incident to her grandparents.
The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and section 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act -2012.
Meanwhile a 28-year-old man was nabbed for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl at Durga Nagar under TT Nagar police station area on Thursday.
Police said that the victim was sexually assaulted by Praveen Kumar in the afternoon on Thursday and before leaving he threatened her of life.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The accused works at a garment shop and was acquainted with the victim.
