A 13-year-old boy was electrocuted at a farm at Shahpura village under Kolar police station area on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim Rajesh Rathod used to accompany his two elder brothers at a construction site at Shahpura village where they used to work as labour. On Thursday at around 4 pm when the victim’s brothers were busy with their work he went to the farm near the construction site and accidentally came into contact with an electric pole and sustained electric shock.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died later. The body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC. The police have started further investigation. Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man attempted to commit suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Pansheel Nagar under TT Nagar police station on Thursday.
According to the police, at around 9 am, Mukesh Puri consumed poisonous substance at his resident in Pansheel Nagar. The family members of the Manish were present at the time of incident and rushed him to a nearby hospital where his condition is reportedly stable.
The reason of the attempt to suicide in not clear yet as no suicide note was found and the family members were not able to provide the reason behind the attempted suicide. Victim’s statements have not been recorded yet. The police have registered a case under section 309 of the IPC and have started further investigation to find the reason behind of attempting suicide.
