A 12-year-old boy was suspected to have been kidnapped by unidentified miscreants from Police Welfare Society under Jehangirabad police station area on Wednesday, police said.
A police officer investigating the case informed that the boy, identified as Rahul Yadav, was found missing since he went for a coaching centre at Roshanpura Square in the evening.
The family members since Wednesday evening searched for him and when they failed to find the body, they lodged a missing complaint with the Jehangirabad police.
In the complaint, the family members claimed that the body had gone to attend a coaching class at Roshanpura Square on Wednesday evening. The boy’s
father Rajnarayan Yadav is a constable with the 7th Battalion SAF.
Family members reportedly told police that the boy also used to visit a fitness centre and coaching. On Wednesday before leaving the house the boy reportedly told the family that he was going to coaching but when the coaching centre and fitness centre were contacted they informed that the victim has not visited the centres on Wednesday.
Police said that a case of missing was lodged regarding the missing of the minor and a case of abduction has been registered. The police registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Till the filing of the report the family has not received any extortion call or any whereabouts of the victim.
