A 12-year-old boy died after his bicycle was hit by a speeding motorbike near Kajlikheda under Kolar police station area on Wednesday. The deceased was hit on Monday and was undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital.
The boy Khel Singh of Kajlikheda was injured after his bicycle was hit by a speeding motorbike and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment. The accident took place in the afternoon on November 7 when he was on his way to home after providing lunch to his father at their farms.
On Monday after the accident the deceased was rushed to JP hospital where he was referred to Hamidia hospital late in the night his condition deteriorated further and he died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
Initially a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police. later after the death of the deceased the family members lodged a complaint with the police after which post mortem of the victim was conducted and later based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
During the investigation police found that the motorbike bearing registration number MP04-MY-3620 hit the bicycle of the deceased and escaped the spot and is still missing. The locals provided information to the police after the incident which helped in the investigation. Police said that based on the details of the motorbike the errant driver would be searched.
