A 16-year-old girl student of class 10 committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Bairagarh Chichli under Kolar police station area on Monday.
According to the police, the deceased Anjali alias Manju Yadav was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached and started investigation. The reason behind the suicide was not found and would be investigated in the further investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by police. The deceased was a class X student and was pursuing her studies from a government school.
The deceased was among the three siblings. She had two brothers Yogesh (17) and lucky (12). Yogesh was at uncle’s house while lucky had gone to school.
Deceased’s father works with JK hospital while her mother works with Delhi Public School. The two were at work when the deceased committed suicide.
The deceased was found hanging by her mother at around 4.30 pm when she returned from work.
Police have not found any suicide note in the investigation which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.
The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which could help in finding the reason behind the extreme step taken by the deceased.
The classmate and friends of the deceased would be questioned in the further investigation.
