The 10 member Mayor in Council members have been announced by the Commissioner of BMC KVS Choudhary Kolsani. In this, BJP's factionalism is clearly visible with supporters of big leaders getting a place in the mayor’s council.
The names of Senior Councilors Ravindra Yeti supporter of State Party President VD Sharma from ward 83, Rajesh Hingorani, a candidate of Bhagwan Das Sabnani from ward number 4 are prominent in the list. Other members include Sushma Babisa, ward number 50, Ashok Vani, ward number 70, Anand Aggarwal, ward number 39, Chhaya Thakur, ward number 64, Jitendra Shukla, ward number 54, Manoj Rathore, ward number 13, Jagdish Yadav, ward number 25 and R K Singh Baghel, ward number 33 have been included.
In the list, it is said that the candidates of MLA Krishna Gaur, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, BJP District President Sumit Pachauri, Senior BJP Leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, Home Minister Narottam Mishra and former Minister Uma Shankar’s nominees were included.
Fearing dissent, the list of MIC members was released by a BMC official and not by the Mayor. Also, the members of MIC have not been allotted any department so far.
