The 21st chapter of Vihaan 10-day 'Theatrics', the drama workshop 'READDING' began in city. This special workshop is based on the theme 'What are the ideal methods of education and how to develop personality in the cause of humanityIJ'
Organised by Vihaan Drama Works the theatrics is being held at Arushi that began from Monday. According to Saurabh Anant, Vihaan's Theater Series, working on the basics in the theater, has a distinctive identity in itself. Marking the second day of the workshop on Tuesday, the session was held under the guidance of young director and designer Shweta Ketkar. She conducted a special session on 'line drawing and Sketching' for the participants. In this session Shweta talked to the participants on the fundamental principles of 'drawing and sketching' and after that, practical sessions of 'line drawing and sketching' with all the participants was also conducted. In the practical session all participants made sketches and drawings by just drawing line and created an art piece according to their imagination.
In addition, Shweta explained the importance of 'line drawing and sketching' in drama and shared her experiences. It is noteworthy that Shweta is a Masters in Fine Arts, has studied theater from Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD) and is co-founder of Vihaan.
Besides, it is also to be noted that this chapter of Vihaan Theatrics is a production based workshop. In this workshop a book by Gijubhai 'Divaswapan' based on child education will be discussed and a play will be prepared. The play will be staged to mark the conclusion of the workshop.
