Piplani police have arrested a 26-year-old youth and have booked four youths for brutally beating a 23-year-old engineering student at Indrapuri over money dispute late in the evening on Wednesday.
Police said that the nabbed accused was identified as Munna Pandey who along with three others had brutally beaten the victim Avinash Anand Jha.
SHO Piplani Brijesh Bhargava said that the accused and victim owed Rs 10000 of Pandey and was not returning; this lead to the fight in which the victim sustained fractures in his legs and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The victim and accused hail from Bihar and were acquainted. The victim has claimed that his friend Utkarsh has provided Rs 10000 to Munna Pandey and when the victim demanded money accused along with Shivam Sharma, Dharmendra Kumar and Deepak Jha reached victim’s house and attacked him with baseball bat and later escaped the spot, he added.
The victim is final year engineering student of Oriental College of Technology. The victim is undergoing treatment ata private hospital and his condition is reportedly stable.
The police have registered a case under section 294, 323, 325, 506 and 34 of the IPC against four accused and search for the three absconding accused has been intensified.
During the investigation police found that the money dispute emerged over admission in college. The money was provided to facilitate admission in the college but later when the admission was not done the victim and accused clashed. The details would be investigated.
