A 20-year-old youth died while three others escaped with injuries after their car they were travelling was hit by a speeding truck at Balampur Ghati under Sukhi Sewania police station on Sunday.
According to the police four injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of the injured passengers was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Raja Khan of Mangalwara area while the injured were identified as Aneesh, Javed and Rajat. The accident took place while on their way to Salamatpur to attend a marriage function.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile one police constable posted with Police Training School Umaria and two others sustained severe injuries after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck at RRl trisection under Bagh Sewania police station area late in the night on Saturday.
Three youths were injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck and were rushed to Narmada hospital where their condition is reportedly stable.
The three were identified as Rohit Patel, Rahul and Abhilash.
Rohit Patel posted with Police Training School (PTS) Umaria came to the city two days ago after he was assigned for security arrangements for programme at Jamboree Maidan.
On Saturday he went to meet his friend Rahul Patel where Abhilash Patel was also staying at Rahul’s house. later the three met accident while on their way to ISBT to drop one of their friends who was scheduled to board bus from ISBT.
Police have registered a case of rash driving against the driver who went absconding.
