A film based on Sainik Schools 'The Sainik School Way' was screened at Shaurya Smarak here on Sunday.
It was produced by Film Division Of India and was directed by SNS Shastry. The film was released in 1967.
Sainik School is a 'Ministry of Defense' sponsored residential boy's school. The first Sainik School was opened by Dr Sampoorna Nand in UP in 1960 under UP state government and there after other Sainik school and Military Schools we’re opened.
The Sainik Schools prepare the boys academically and physically for entry into the National Defense Academy and other positions in Indian Military. Leadership qualities are cultivated through well-run house and pre-factorial systems.
Students are exposed to the wholesome influence and ethos of discipline and duty so that they are brought up as sincere, dignified and well-balanced personalities.
