To help the birds in this scorching summer, a campaign'Selfie With Sakora' is being carried out in the city. The Bhopalites are actively participating in the campaign and are keeping food and water for the birds.
It is a virtual campiagn wherein, the Bhopalites need to post their selfies with water vessels on Facebook or Instagram with hashtag ‘Selfie with Sakora.’ The campaign is organised by Kalachuri Sena. In view of the Corona epidemic, the Kalchuri Sena launched this campaign on social media to provide water, food to the birds, unmatched by all social institutions, social workers, and citizens of other societies at their respective homes.
It is to be noted that every year on the first day of the new year, Kalchuri Sena distributes free sakora (water vessel) to the common people at the Board Office.
Under this campaign the vessel kept on the roof of the house; contains water and food for the birds so that the unruly birds get water and food in summers. The members of the Kaluchari Sena said that it is our social concern for the protection of the living beings, which all of us should fulfill with honesty and integrity. On the call of the Kalchuri Sena, all the officials of the state joined the campaign and filled the vessels with rice and pulses.
