A comedy play that took the audience back to the school days 'Prem Kabootar' was staged at Antarang Hall Bharat Bhavan. The play marked the conclusion of BV Karanth Theatre Festival Adranjali on Thursday.

Written by Manav Kaul, the play was directed by Sameep Singh. The play is a hilarious blend of events that were staged in a narrative manner.

Remember that era of school days, those teenage love affairs, romance in the air and enthusiastically following the heroes, heroines and even the story-lines of Hindi cinema? Let's revive the feelings which still bring restlessness and let the butterflies fly in the stomach.

The 'Prem Kabootar' takes you to that ageless moment. Saleem the tailor and a Casanova, Raju the chai wala and Suneel the ardent follower of Hindi films, who flip-flops from being a hero or a villain. The magical feel of love for these characters, the chirpy starlets and their heroines go through the topsy-curvy ride of life till they end up being Kabootar.

The play is a story about three friends, who are trying to find love in their own respective ways. The first one is Saleem, who is a tailor and a casanova, Raju is a tea seller and the third one is Suneel, a film hero and villain both in his own rights.

The audience burst into laughing as the play was beautifully carved with situational comedy. All the characters left a memorable impression over the audiences. The props, backdrop of the play and the poetic dialogues added more zeal in the presentation.
