In the words of Bishop Tutu and countless wisemen before and since, “If we are going to see real development in the world then our best investment is women.” Pinkathon is an initiative by united sisters foundation. The motto and pledge of this day is never give up. Empowerment is a gift you give yourself a team of visually challenged girls, hearing impaired girls, cancer sheroes baby wearing mothers and senior citizens were among the participants at the first edition of Pinkathon.

The promoter of PATH India Sakshi Agrawal told that ladies need to realize that a healthy nation and healthy world begins with empowered women. She is happy that women are breaking barriers and getting out to run, which she feels doesn’t happen enough due to various cultural reasons. Sakhsi Agrawal told that empowerment of women is not a gift of society it is a gift which women give herself.

The main concept of Pinkathon is beating breast cancer, health and fitness and women empowerment. The event was held in Nehru stadium Indore on Sunday.
