Online telecast of "Parsai Uvach" presentation was held on the birth anniversary of Harishankar Parsai on Sunday. Presented by Nav Nritya Theatre Group, Bhopal, the play was a collage of four short stories by Harishankar Parsai and was directed by Tarun Dutt Pandey. Beginning up with the story ‘Shav Yatra ka tauliya’ the play was followed by story ‘Madhyam Vargiya Kutta’, ‘Veh Kya Tha’ and concluded with ‘Baatuni.’ The first story ‘Shav Yatra ka tauliya’ made the audiences laugh their hearts out. It is a story about a person who somehow got a short-cut to heaven. He is told that if he would be a part of 100 funerals he would defiantly go to heaven after death. Following the tip with a pure heart he used to go to funerals as if he is attending a party. The next story ‘Madhyam Vargiya kutta’ narrates the tale of a happy-go-lucky person who gets blend up with everyone, but does not come out of the boundaries he made around himself. Another short story ‘Veh Kya tha’ is about a middle class man whose first priority is to fulfill his needs no matter what. He lives in his own small world and does not care about what’s going on in his surroundings. The last story ‘Baatuni’ tells about a person who talks unnecessarily without caring about other person. The theatrical presentation had another enthralling aspect, as it had only two artists on stage playing the stories alternatively. Yogesh Mathe and Santosh were the narrators and played the character too.
