Secretary Tourism Faiz Ahmed Kidwai has issued instructions to the District Tourism Promotion Councils to organise Tourism Fest in the districts on October 2 on the theme of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary.
While reviewing the Councils through video conference of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, he told to collect information of various places, institutions and individuals to connect Gandhiji’s way of life with tourism. Kidwai told to hand over land and heritage property to Tourism Department before the Swachhata Abhiyan from October 2 to 27 and the investors meet in state on October 18 on the instructions of Government of India.
Additional Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Tourism Bhavna Valimbe issued instructions to change District Tourism Promotion Councils to District Archaeology and Tourism Councils. Valimbe directed to send utility certificates of the assistance allotted to all councils immediately.
A power point presentation of the activities and work-plan of the Madhya Pradesh Policy 2016, Water Tourism Policy and Camping Policy was presented at the video-conference for the District Tourism Promotion Councils. Secretary Kidwai laid stress on the tourism work-plan of each district.
Additional Managing Director of State Tourism Development Corporation Sonia Meena and officials of Tourism Board were present at the video conference.
