Minister for Tribal Welfare Omkar Singh Markam instructed the departmental officers to bring more improvement in the inspection system of tribal ashrams and hostels. He asked the officers to ensure hundred percent utilisation of the departmental budget.
Minister Markam was addressing the State level meeting of the departmental officers at Mantralaya on Wednesday. The Principal Secretary Deepali Rastogi and Director of Tribal Development Project Rakesh Singh were present at the meeting.
Minister Markam said that the hundred percent sanctioned seats should be filled in ashrams and hostels of the state. He also directed the officers to maintain diary of their daily activities. Construction works of slum development were also reviewed in the meeting. Markam gathered information pertaining to the scholarship, distributed among the tribal students. He instructed to get the repair works completed in ashrams-hostels on priority. In the meeting, the status of budget allocated and expenditure during the last 3 years, work wise information about the sanctioned works and physical status of current works were also reviewed.
