Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the empowerment of the country is not possible without the empowerment of sisters. After becoming Chief Minister, it has been my constant endeavour to bring happiness in the lives of mothers, sisters and daughters. The State Government is working continuously for their safety, honour and welfare. Educational, economic, political and social empowerment of sisters is being done in the State.

Chouhan said that Atma-nirbhar Madhya Pradesh cannot be formed without self-reliant sisters. Various schemes are being run in the State to make the sisters self-reliant. Soon Mahila Panchayat will be convened, in which other schemes like Ladli Laxmi will also be made after discussion with the sisters.

Chouhan appealed to all the people of the State to take a pledge to protect the rights of mothers-sisters-daughters, their respect, their welfare and their empowerment on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Let us take pledge that all opportunities will be given to them to realise their dreams.

Chouhan told all the sisters of the State that when they tie rakhi to their brother on Rakshabandhan, ask them whether they got corona vaccine or not. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, get vaccinated against corona as a bond of protection. Sisters should not forget to get themselves vaccinated. Vaccination campaign will be run in the state on August 25 and 26 in which first and second dose will be administered on 25th and second dose on 26th.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today gave a message to the sisters of the State on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan. He prayed to God for the happy, healthy and prosperous life of all the mothers, sisters and daughters.

Chouhan started his day by tying rakhi to sisters Ku. Kanak Kushwaha and Shaili Tiwari, who came to the Chief Minister's residence to tie rakhi. He offered sweets to the sisters with his hand and gave good wishes.

The Chief Minister said that since time immemorial, there is respect for mothers-sisters-daughters in India and they are honourable for us. In Indian tradition it is said that where women are worshipped, God resides there.

Chouhan said that sisters are the carriers of our culture, values of life, fasting, celebrations, Teej-festivals etc. India's family system is a matter of wonder for the whole world and its axis are women. Government work starts with the worship of daughters in the state. Respect and safety of daughters is of paramount importance to us.
