Under Gamak series Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet and Kala Akademi's 'Gaan' by Ravi Shankar Dixit and group, Bhopal and 'Sarangi Vadan' by Ishaq Khan and group, Bhopal were held on Wednesday.
It was Broadcasted on Department's YouTube channel.The presentation started with the singing of Ravi Shankar Dixit, in which he composed Aalap Khayal in Ek Taal in Raga Bageshree and Aalap Chhota Khayal and Tarana Teen Taal in Raga Yaman.
In the presentation, Ravi Shankar was accompanied by Jitendra Sharma on Harmonium and Anurag Prajapati on Tabla.
Ravi Shankar Dixit received his early education in music from Yogesh Dixit and Sanjay Sharma and from Rajgarh from Chandrakant Bhargava and Lashkari Guru, then received music education in Bhopal under the guidance of Sarbat Hussain and Thakur Harish Chandra.
Dixit did music from Prayag Sangeet by Prabhakar (Tabla) and in singing from Khairagarh University. He has given successful presentation on many prestigious forums of the country.
The second presentation was given by Ishaq Khan and he performed Sarangi recital. In Sarangi playing, Ishaq presented Raga Shuddh Sarang - Bada Khayal in Ektaal and Chhota Khayal in Teen Taal.
Ravindra Tank gave accompaniment on tabla along with Ishaq in the presentation.
Ishaq (Gwalior Gharana) received the education of sarangi playing from his father Ustad Abdul Samad Khan, after that he took education of sarangi playing from Ustad Shahzad Khan. Ishaq has given his performances in many prestigious forums of the country.
