Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Janardan Mishra during a protest meeting of the party in Rewa on Tuesday appealed the party workers to break hands of Congressmen or policemen who approach farmers to recover loans.
He told, “The BJP is standing with farmers strongly and if any Congressman or policeman reaches out to farmers for recovering loans, his hands would be broken.” He claimed that those coming in for recoveries would be strangled. The fiery leader further claimed that the Congress party was playing ‘divisive and destructive’ politics in Madhya Pradesh. Mishra is known for temperamental behaviour and in the past during a meeting of Municipal Corporation, he had after a dispute threatened Municipal Commissioner Sabhajit Yadav of burying him in the ground. His partyman from Jabalpur, Vinod Gotia too had crossed the line while addressing party worker in Umaria district on Monday. “If anyone stares at our party workers, we would gouge out his eyes,” Gotia had claimed. The Jabalpur politician had claimed that Kamal Nath government was in existence at the mercy of the BJP. BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Agrawal on the issue said that Congress in power and could take action against those flouting law but added that there is widespread anger among farmers due to inability of the Congress government.
Slamming the BJP for their protests, Chief Minister Kamal Nath from his official handle tweeted, “The protests on Monday yet again vindicated how these BJP leaders present lies. Around 2.5 crore people are aware about loan waiver of Congress and the BJP should think how they would react about their lies.”
