Chief Secretary SR Mohanty said that the adulteration in food items is not less than heinous crime towards human life and health. Effective steps should be taken regularly against the people involved in adulteration in food and drinking items to make Madhya Pradesh, an adulteration free state. These directives were given by the Chief Secretary in a review meeting with the Collectors and Senior Officers of Jabalpur division.

Mohanty also directed to conduct camps to resolve the revenue cases registered on RCMS and to prepare an advance work plan to prevent drinking water crisis during the summer in rural areas. The Chief Secretary gathered information on the status of rain, flood relief and crops in the districts. He said that flooding and excessive rains have not caused much damage in all the districts owing to the measures of disaster management. All the Collectors should complete necessary arrangements from now itself for procurement of Kharif crops on support price. He further mentioned that non-FAQ food grains should not be purchased under any circumstances during the procurement of Kharif and Rabi Crops on support price.

The Chief Secretary reviewed the district wise registration and redressal of revenue cases registered on RCMS. He said that redressal should also be registered every month as compared to the revenue cases being registered within the next 3 months. He sought information about sowing of Kharif crops, availability and distribution of fertilizers and seeds and advance fertilizer storage for the Rabi crops.

The Chief Secretary obtained information about the rejected claims of forest rights deeds in various districts and online re-verification of the rejected claims according to the direction of the government. He said that any eligible beneficiary should not be deprived of forest rights. A wide publicity should be ensured in the concerned areas and Gram Sabhas for verification of rejected claims and proofs required for the claims of the eligible beneficiaries through Van Mitra Software. The CS also reviewed the disposal of the CM Monit cases received from the CM’s office.

The CS said that keeping in view the ensuing festivals, Collectors and SPs should maintain law and order strictly. The senior administrative officer should keep their information-network strong.
