Every year, more than 2 lakh students go to different global destinations from India for study abroad and to learn the methods and manners other countries adopt in educating students through world-class standards. It’s Not A Fun Trip

It may sound fantasising for many students to pursue studies abroad but it takes a lot of planning to prepare for this venture. Application process for overseas universities can be lengthy, which is why it’s wise to start your research 18 months in advance. Once you’ve decided where to go, it can take up to an year to sort out the particulars of funding, references, test results etc. Choices also need to be made about where to stay during the academic year and how it’ll be financed.

Therefore, you should contact education consultants who are looking into study abroad applications to understand what’s best for you, and how you should plan your timeline of standardised tests and applications to colleges abroad. Prepare well for your standardised tests (TOEFl, IElTS, SAT, ACT etc) and register well in advance for those tests. Plan your test dates well so you have time to retake if required.

Choose right course

The most necessary step to apply into any university is to decide the course you want to get enrolled into. You should be very careful as well as confident in choosing the course as per your interest because accordingly you have to decide the locations which provide best studies for that course and shortlist one accordingly.

Once you have decided, research the university websites and learn more about the course content, the culture, teaching methods and fees.

Finance options

Most of the popular study abroad destinations for students are US and UK universities. In here the rupee is weak in compared to their currency. Therefore, it is important to plan your finance options according to your expenses. It is always suggested to estimate your expenses before committing to any programme.
