In a bid to maintain punctuality and discipline on time management, the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (IP) university recently conducted a surprise check in the morning office hour in all administrative blocks. A team comprised of the Prof Anil K Tyagi, vice chancellor of the university; Pushpalata Tripathi, Pro VC and Rajiv Kale, Registrar of IP university carried out this inspection. It was found that several employees were not reporting on time and were asked to furnish casual leave. They were also issued show cause notices. The university directed all the staff to be present in office during working hours and the branch-in-charges were also advised to ensure and monitor punctuality on a daily basis. The university is also planning to track the attendance of the employees of the university online to maintain their punctuality in the office.
