Experts called for a long-term strategy in the infrastructure sector at a seminar — Smart Infrastructure-Challenges and Opportunities — organised at Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management. The focus of the seminar was to understand the challenges and opportunities in the infrastructure and construction sector in India.
Dr Bhavesh Patel, director general, AIER (Adani Institute of Education and Research), started off the event with the welcome speech, which was followed by the opening keynote by Pankaj Gupta, SVP, Il&FS (GIFT CITY). Gupta spoke on how the world is adopting smart infrastructure with sensing technologies and real-time data acquisition and analysis.
The one-day seminar consisted of a panel discussion on infrastructure innovation in a changing environment moderated by Prof Diptiranjan from AIIM. The panel featured renowned industry experts like Dr Malay Mahadevia, group HR director and whole-time director, Adani Group; Pankaj Dharkar, national president, FSAI; loveleen Garg, environmental and sustainability expert, GIFT City and Sandeep Patel, CEO, Nepra Group.
